Outpatient Treatment

Specialty Mental Health Services

Summitview's Outpatient Specialty Mental Health Services provide individualized behavioral health treatment for children, youth, and their families experiencing significant emotional or mental health challenges. Services are delivered in the office, home, school, or community, allowing supports to be provided where youth and families feel most comfortable and engaged. Using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches, Summitview's multidisciplinary team works collaboratively with youth and caregivers to address treatment goals, strengthen coping skills, improve functioning, and support long-term well-being. When youth qualify for Specialty Mental Health Services, Care Coordinators are often integrated into the treatment team to help coordinate services, connect families with resources, support goal attainment, and ensure a comprehensive, family-centered approach to care.

Wellness Center Services

Summitview's Wellness Center Services provide accessible, youth-friendly behavioral health and wellness support on school campuses, helping students address challenges before they become barriers to success. Wellness Center Clinicians may provide mental health support, brief interventions, psychoeducation, skill-building activities, wellness programming, and connections to additional clinical and community resources. Working closely with students, families, school personnel, and community partners, Wellness Center Clinician's promote resilience, emotional well-being, positive school engagement, and healthy coping strategies. Wellness Centers serve as a welcoming point of access for support, while also helping identify students who may benefit from more intensive services, including Specialty Mental Health treatment when appropriate.

Multidisciplinary Team

We often encourage releases of information, as our services provided on a school campus allow us to create a multidisciplinary team. This means bringing together various professionals who are all invested in a child’s well-being. Open communication can increase opportunities for the Summitview team to advocate for clients' needs as it relates to their mental health. While we encourage this, we follow HIPAA guidelines, and strictly adhere to release of information regulations.

How long do services last for?

Service programs range from six weeks to several years. Length of treatment is unique for every individual depending on the level of need. Your therapist will work with you to develop a unique, tailored treatment plan. If you need to be linked to a higher level of care or access longer term services, your therapist will help you access these services.

Who provides the services?

Services may be provided by graduate students, registered mental health associates, and / or licensed mental health professionals. Your therapist will share with you their level of training, and their supervisor’s qualifications, if applicable. Additionally, your therapist might utilize the assistance of a skills coach to help enhance therapy. A skills coach is an individual with a mental health background who helps reinforce skills your child is learning in therapy, in addition to providing case management services.

How much do services cost?

Service costs vary based on the program and your insurance. Some services are free and funded through grants. Insurance-based service costs will depend on your insurance. Please use the inquiry form if you would like to explore your options for services.
