Our mission is to encourage the professional development of Summitview’s employees and students from the community who are looking to complete internships for their college graduation requirements. We also support associates who are pursuing licensure with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. We recognize the value that students and associates bring to a team, including diverse experiences and the most current standards and practices in the behavioral health field. We wish to contribute by providing a supportive and enriching learning environment.
Intern Program
Summitview recruits Bachelor, Master and Doctoral level interns and trainees from behavioral health programs to work in a variety of our therapeutic programs. Interns are paired with a supervisor as required by the individual’s university. We promote participation in professional trainings and provide them as available. Since we encourage current employees to pursue their own professional development, many internships are already paid. There are some circumstances in which paid internships are not possible based on external factors. We are proud to share that many of our interns remain with Summitview in part-time or full-time clinical positions upon graduation.

Associate Program
Summitview supports associates in their professional development and obtaining hours toward licensure (Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Associate Clinical Social Worker, Associate Professional Clinical Counselor) in accordance with the Board of Behavioral Science’s rules and regulations. Associates are paired with a licensed professional for supervision, and are encouraged to participate in trainings that are deemed appropriate by their clinical supervisor or department manager.
