Summitview provides a specialized program for youth and young adults victimized by human trafficking. The word Agape in Greek means unconditional love and acts as the guiding principle for the Agape House. The program provides a safe, trauma-informed, and therapeutic environment for survivors of Commercial Sexual Exploitation. Those working with this population possess a knowledge of safety planning, crisis management, relationship-informed behavior management, and experience in substance abuse treatment in the context of Harm Reduction practices. The program operates with a multi-disciplinary team approach. Its focus is on providing residential services and comprehensive mental health treatment. The overall philosophy is one centered on well-being and dignity while striving to build a healing environment. Agape is strength-based and client-centered, intertwining natural supports into the young person’s life and creating a meaningful and fulfilling life. The following core principles are utilized: Non-Judgmental, Respect, Responsibility, Acceptance, Collaboration, and Relationship.
